Our School Savers programme works with primary school children in years 4, 5 and 6, enabling the students to set up a school bank. This is a unique partnership project between Money A+E, Universities, local Credit Unions and some high street Banks. Students and staff are taught to run and maintain a Bank in their school by (living wage paid and ASDAN accredited) University students. The Bank is linked to the local Credit Union or high street Bank. The programme provides a practical and engaging way of delivering ‘Personal Finance’ requirements within the National curriculum and develops a host of skills for participating students and staff.
